Company Profile

Pepscan’s CLIPS™ technology is a proven generic approach to yield functional antibodies against disease relevant proteins that can not be addressed otherwise. These include membrane proteins (GPCRs, ion channels) and proteins that are protected by patents.

Science and Technologies or Services

Pepscan uses its TDK and CLIPS technologies to induce antibodies against orphan antigens. These can be weak antigens (self proteins) or antigens that are not availalble as recombinant proteins (GPCRs, ion channels). The resulting immunogens serve as basis for therapeutic vaccines and monoclonals.

Recently the topsector plan Life Sciences & Health was published and presented to Minister Verhagen, of the so-called ELI Ministry. The document is an amazing compressed 60-pager, based on months of hard work by the group of experts chaired by Roel Fonville, and summarizes the conclusions after dozens of 1-to-1 meetings, five regional group sessions with dozens of opinion leaders and after having received over 170 (!) memo's, white papers and letters of intent.
