Compagny Profile

The 3D foundation was founded by cooperating knowledge institutes in 2005. It manages an international virtual marketplace for life science discoveries and organizes various other activities to stimulate the commercialization from Dutch discoveries.

Science and Technologies or Services

The 3D foundation makes novel Life-science and (bio) pharmaceutical findings available through one single portal, the 3D system. In addition it stimulates the commercialization of Dutch life science based discoveries by organizing various international matchmaking events and conferences and by managing an international virtual marketplace.

The 3D foundation was founded by TNO, STW, Leiden University, Leiden MC, Erasmus MC and Sanquin.

Recently the topsector plan Life Sciences & Health was published and presented to Minister Verhagen, of the so-called ELI Ministry. The document is an amazing compressed 60-pager, based on months of hard work by the group of experts chaired by Roel Fonville, and summarizes the conclusions after dozens of 1-to-1 meetings, five regional group sessions with dozens of opinion leaders and after having received over 170 (!) memo's, white papers and letters of intent.
