Putting the Netherlands on the map at BIO Chicago
From the brand new Dutch Masters pavilion –one of 65 country pavilions- representatives of the various Dutch bio-regions were promoting the Holland Biodelta. Meanwhile Dutch life sciences companies and Technology Transfer Offices were busy seeking business partners.
A parallel programme organised by Life Sciences & Health together with NIABA, BioFarmind and Nefarma was joined by Hugo Hurts, Director Medicines and Medical Technology of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, and Renée Bergkamp, Director-General of Enterprise and Innovation of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, whereby they were given a clear overview of the issues at stake.
Partners from the Amsterdam BioMed Cluster present were the Life Sciences Center Amsterdam, Technology Transfer Offices AMC, VUmc and the Netherlands Cancer Institute, as well as a number of companies. At the pavilion Metris BV successfully demonstrated its innovative system LABORAS that recognizes animal behaviour fully automatically.
