NKI-AVL opens new clinic to allow for growth
January 8, 2010 - The Netherlands Cancer Institute - Antoni van Leeuwenhoek will open temporary housing for the treatment of more patients.
A sixt operating room has already been opened previously and this expansion will create more space in the existing buildings. The NKI-AvL observes a steady increase of patients and expects a growth of 50% during the next ten years. The temporary building includes the mammapoli and has been offered in kind by contractor Wagenbouw for a period of three years. The official opening by Hans Schoo, Director at NKI-AvL, is on January 14, 2010. The treatment of patients will start on January 18th.
