The cities of Amsterdam and Amstelveen, together with the Immigration and Naturalisation Services (IND), have embarked on a combined effort to increase the efficiency of their service to knowledge migrants and the varying needs of their families.

The pilot project ‘Expatcenter Amsterdam Area’ is situated in the World Trade Center in the Amsterdam Zuid-As and was started May 2008. The website of the Expatcenter will provide knowledge migrants and their families with the municipal information needed to live and work in the Amsterdam/Amstelveen region.
