Agendia

Molecular diagnostics to improve treatment decisions and allow personalized medicine in cancer.

The company has its roots in the Netherlands Cancer Institute / Antoni van Leeuwenhoek hospital (NKI-AVL) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, an internationally renowned cancer research centre. Agendia’s first product was MammaPrint®, a gene ex-pression profiling service to assess the risk of recurrence in breast cancer patients. MammaPrint® is the first micro-array-based clinical diagnostic test to be marketed for oncology world-wide. Its second product, CupPrint®, is a tool to identify the origin of the primary tumour in patients that have a “tumour of unknown origin”. Through products like MammaPrint®, Cup-Print® and future products, Agendia enables cancer patients to benefit immediately from the latest scientific discoveries in cancer research.

Agendia’s procedure: after the operation, the tumour is sent directly to Agendia for analysis.
